A little note from me 🤍 Thank you for your patience while this month’s newsletter arrived a little later than planned. At the end of June, I unexpectedly needed to step away after being hospitalised following an incident. It has been a time of rest, recovery, and giving my body the space and care it needs to heal. I’m slowly rebuilding my energy and taking each day as it comes. While I may be a little quieter than usual over the coming weeks, I’m still here, still connected, and looking forward to returning to the work I love as my recovery continues. Thank you for your kindness, understanding, and support. It truly means so much to me. 🤍 |
It’s my birthday month! 🎂 My favourite time of the year. For as long as I can remember, I’ve always enjoyed having a birthday. The excitement may soften a little as we get older, but the meaning never disappears. A birthday is a beautiful opportunity to celebrate another journey around the sun, reflect on what has been achieved, and gently acknowledge what we may like to nurture or improve. It’s also a time to pause and feel proud of the small wins, not just the big milestones. This month gives me a natural moment to check in with my goals for the year. I feel grateful for where I am and the journey I continue to be on. |

What’s new at NatraColl Health ✨ A personal milestone — my memoir journey July has always been a meaningful month for me. Not only does it mark my birthday, but it also marks a significant moment in my own healing journey. On 1 July 2021, I was discharged from the hospital after a long and life-changing stay in the ICU. I still remember that moment — not as a sudden return to normal life, but as the beginning of a very different kind of journey. Recovery didn’t end there. In many ways, it was just beginning. Over the years since then, I’ve found myself returning to that period again and again — not only in memory, but in understanding. How quickly life can change. How fragile the body can be.And how slowly we sometimes find our way back to ourselves after something life-changing. A few years ago, I started writing about my experience. At first, there was no real structure — just fragments of memories, reflections, journal entries, and moments I didn’t fully understand at the time. Five years later, those writings have slowly begun to take shape as something more structured: a memoir. It is still in progress, but it is becoming something I feel ready to complete and share when the time is right. It is a reflective account of illness, recovery, and rebuilding life after everything changes — not just the medical journey, but the emotional and human journey that continues long after leaving the hospital. I’ll share more as it unfolds, but I wanted to quietly share that this is something I’ve been working on for a long time, and it is now moving into its final stage of development. I'm looking forward to sharing more with you soon 🤍 |
The Nervous System Reset Blog Series – Part Six 🌿 Feeling Bloated? Stress Might Be Playing a Role Feeling bloated, heavy, or uncomfortable after eating — even when you haven’t eaten much? It might not always be about the food itself. Stress can quietly influence digestion by affecting digestive function and the way your body breaks down and absorbs nutrients. In the next blog, we explore the often-overlooked connection between stress and digestive health, including how digestive changes can contribute to bloating, gas, reflux, and nutrient challenges. This article is part of my Nervous System Reset series, where we explore how stress impacts the body in subtle but powerful ways — and what you can do to support regulation and recovery. You’ll also learn why quick fixes may not always address the deeper cause, and how supporting the nervous system can help create lasting change over time. 👉 Learn more here: https://www.natracollhealth.com/blog/categories/the-nervous-system-reset 👉 Curious about working deeper with this? In the Garden 🌱 This month, I’ve enjoyed returning to the simplicity and beauty of nature. I’ve spent time foraging in the forest and appreciating the incredible variety and wisdom found in fungi. A gentle reminder that nature always has more to teach us — and, as always, please forage responsibly and know what you are collecting. The turmeric has also been ready for harvest, which has been a beautiful reminder of the power of growing our own food. Turmeric is well known for its wonderful anti-inflammatory properties, and I have a golden milk recipe on my website that shares a beautiful way to enjoy this nourishing spice. There is something deeply nourishing about reconnecting with the seasons, the earth, and the simple gifts growing around us. |
